We are at our conference.... drove up to the hotel and realized quickly with all the cranes and heavy equipment, the Park is being remodeled. I went into automatic wariness mode.... like... we stayed at Opryland Hotel and moved 3 times because of remodeling. Jackhammers that sounded like.... well... you could not stand to be in the room during the day. Nightmare.
Here, the place is torn ALL TO PIECES. Down to the cement.
Some of the roooms are finished and we were warily delighted to be put in one of those rooms... great view of the town.
Our room is new from top to bottom... new carpet, new furiture, new linens.... big screen TV and big overwhelming view outside. We'd need a parachute to get to the ground
from this height.
Wellllll..... Charles was up at 6 this morning, first meeting (a breakfast meeting) at 7:00.
I got up at 10:00 when he had made his second trip back to the room; the first trip, he had hurried in with a bowl of fresh fruit and a muffin around 6:30. The second trip, he was wanting to talk for a minute to tell me what he had learned about next year thus far.... letters of intent were given.... hummmmm.....
I got up and realized I was itching.... looked and I have hives from fingertips to elbows on both hands and arms - no where else. I scratched and rubbed lotion on.... nothing worked...
CT popped back in around 12:45, saw what a mess I am in and we headed out for the pharmacy... Benadryl pills and cream, alcohol, and a chocolate Easter marshmallow egg for comfort (LOL). Got the med at the drug store in the middle of the town....
I guess I'm in for a long nap this afternoon.... He called back from his meeting and people had told him to have me open the door to the balcony - the chemicals in the new carpet glue, they surmised, etc. are causing it. Sounds reasonable. I was wondering about sheets, detergent, etc first.... but their ideas sound reasonable.
The last time I had hives was over my Algebra exam in high school.... Jiminy Cricket.
