I give up.... have typed blog post twice - this is third time.... and it has erased itself 2 times..... It is Sunday.... we are at the lake. Jonathan spent the night with us last night - said he slept well.
I grilled breakfast this morning... Bacon, eggs, toast, grits, jelly, OJ... and the two guys ate like it was their last meal. CT said bacon was the best he'd ever put in his mouth. It WAS really good - thick sliced Tenn. Pride on the grill.
After they ate, we went on a boat ride - Jonathan wanted to go to Loyston Sea... the part of the lake that covers the town of Lloyston. The movie WILD RIVER was made about the story of the people of Loyston giving up their homes so the dam could be built by TVA... great story. A little eery knowing we were sitting above churches, houses, businesses and the school. The graves had to be dug up and moved.... there is a cementary near us called New Loyston Cemetary..... This large body of water is what is known as Loyston Sea.
Came back to the boat and by then it was past lunch time... ate fried chicken, potatoes, salad, biscuits and blackberry pie.... was great. Bojangles chicken N biscuits and the rest was done at the boat.
Mid-afternoon, Summerlyn and Ty came down. Sure did love on my Ty. A gal in Hendersonville hit him broadside on Saturday night out near WalMart... near North High.... totaled both vehicles - she ran a red light. Neither were hurt, thank the Lord.
Summerlyn called and asked to stay with us a couple of days at the boat - so she is here for the first part of the week. MeMe loves it. She and papaw are at the grocery picking up her fav snacks and some gas for the boat. MEGA less expensive in town... we buy at both places depending on the situation.
Jonathan left for home around 4:00 - waited till the rain was over... and Ty had to be at work at 5:00. He is driving the big green Suburban now.... OK... Carmen and Dean had loaned it to a neighbor to drive... but called it back in for TY... at least it is 4 wheels until something can be done about transportation for him.
