Mom and I were up bright and early this morning - had to be at the hospital by 8:00 for treatment number 7 (out of 10). By now, Mom was supposed to be a rag doll. She is FAR from a Raggedy Ann! I love this pic... we were in the drug store and she was buying new sun glasses. She's a good sport and this is a good picture. She certainly doesn't look her age! (and she doesn't act her age either LOL)
Got the treatment and headed for the grocery store and bank, but first, Bojangles where SHE ordered two sausage biscuits (one for tomorrow)... scarfed down one plus OJ and we headed for the grocery store. THAT was a trip.... Mom came out with a stash of sweets, including several big packs of Reece Cups, a key lime layer cake and a lemon layer cake among other goodies.... I told her we have food for one normal person (me) and one pig (Mom)... we laugh about it. She grazes 24/7 in between naps and has gained a couple of pounds. THAT is good.
We have enjoyed a nice peaceful day at the house - hard rain this afternoon, and Ollie walked over to visit. That was good, too. She is a good neighbor -brought mom her first home grown tomato for the season. We had BLT sandwiches tonight!
Talked with Charles this afternoon and talked with Carmen for about an hour tonight.
She said Scarlett has cried over no "MeMe Camp" this summer... I just hate it, but I can't do it right now.
Charles is coming on Thursday sometime - after he gets the Buick back from the $1300 repair from when the man backed in to us last Sunday.... and we have to make a trip to Knoxville to pick up my glasses. I will be SO glad to get those things.
Looking forward to a great day tomorrow. Treatment for mom; visit from the plumber - a guy I graduated from high school with - Gary Lewis. He has been the plumber at this house for years.
