This is an AMAZING experience. I hate that the word 'amazing' is tossed around so freely in our society. ie....Those socks are AMAZING! No. Socks are NOT amazing....but life experiences can be amazing. There are some pretty "amazing" people out there. My Mother is one of those amazing people.
Mom has "attitude".... she will NOT be sick, she says.... and her list of I will NOT be this or that is 'amazingly' long.... but she is sticking to her guns. She isn't sick. In fact our usual routine after a radiation treatment is to go thru the drive-thru at Wendy's and she gets a small chocolate frosty.
The docs said that she would notice a sizeable difference in the way she feels after the third treatment. She has had six treatments and only tonight (Saturday night) has she mentioned that the treatments are beginning to make her tired. That is "amazing"... She has operated like a buzz saw since Day ONE.
We have been so busy here, that I am worn out... but I'll get over it! Would not be anywhere else. This time is precious.
